Diving In: Searching Memory for Story
A Guided Writing Workshop

Memory is the wellspring of all our stories. But how do we begin to tell the stories of our lives?

This six-part workshop is about finding our stories, diving deep down where memories are collected and retrieving the ones we want to observe more closely. Using prompts, seed phrases, and other creative writing exercises, we will revisit the formative times in our lives, searching for stories in those people, places and events that we hold in our memory. Between meetings, we will maintain writing journals, elaborating on the session exercises, responding to additional prompts and capturing other memories that begin to surface.

Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Convergence
June 11 - July 23 (note: no class July 2)
Cost for the six sessions is $120

Writing Circles for Beginners

Writing Circle at Convergence,  Tuesday mornings

and explore various themes using creative writing exercises and
prompts.  You will be encouraged, though not required, to share your
writing and respond to that of others.  This is not a critiquing
workshop but one where we can comfortably open up and provide positive
feedback to other emerging writers.

Our theme for the next four sessions is Nourishment.

Sessions break down as follows:
    June 17 - New Experience
    June 24:  Creativity & Imagination
    July 8 - Community & Connection
    July 15 - Mind, Body & Spirit
