Workshops and Classes

New Information About Classes and Workshops at Convergence

In an effort to increase class registrations, increase visibility for your classes and streamline paperwork, we are creating a quarterly structure for all classes and events. Each quarter we will advertise for the next, allowing us all to have a better sense of what is coming up at Convergence. This will allow us to create a flier or simple catalogue with all upcoming classes listed, registration information, dates, times, etc.

In addition, we will increase our email marketing effort by sending out special class/workshop editions of the newsletters. We will provide copies of the fliers and ask you to provide volunteers to get them out into the local community.

We will also be creating a special page on the website listing all classes, linked to your websites (or the website of your organization).

These efforts should help everyone as we are stronger working together.

In order to make this happen, we are creating a deadline for the submission of requests to teach classes. Please fill out the attached form to propose a class for the Spring Quarter(April-June). No class will be added to the schedule without submission of the proposal form.

All proposals are due no later than Friday, February 19th at 5:00 pm.

Please know that this deadline is to give us time to advertise and publish, not to make your life more difficult.

If you have a class starting at the beginning of April, please send me your request asap so that we can begin advertising those classes in March.

Please note that classes or workshops will not be available for a Sunday schedule, due to worship activities and full space usage. If you have personal questions, please contact Pam or Lisa at the office.

Thanks again for being a valued member of our community. I would be happy to sit down and talk with you over the next few weeks if you have questions, concerns or ideas.

In order to make these courses accessible to all, they are offered at a minimal cost. However, please do not allow cost to keep from taking a workshop. We partner with people who are vibrant contributors to our community to provide holistic resources to foster healthy, imaginative, empowered people and artists. Our classes are geared towards professional artists and beginners.

Space

We are a resource to the person, the Creative. We provide the resource of space at accessible cost in a nurturing environment within which artists and arts organizations can build and grow.

Community

Convergence is a place to contribute and be heard within a larger community where process, insight and experiences are valued.
