Lisa Hawkins, Artistic Director/Pastor

Rev. Lisa Hawkins is the Artistic Director of Convergence. She is also one of the pastors. Lisa received her Masters in Theological Studies from the John Leland Center for Theological Studies in Arlington, VA. She also holds a B.F.A in drama from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.  She calls Virginia her heritage home, Akron, Ohio, her childhood home, Saudi Arabia, (and the desert in general) her deep down passionate heart home, and California (and the west) her spiritual nourishment home.

After working as an actor in LA she toured with the Christian theatre company, Covenant Players, where she met her husband, David. After touring together throughout the US, Sweden and Germany they found their way back to the DC area and began the wild exotic adventure of putting down roots. Lisa founded Shadows of Light Productions in 2004, a theatre company exploring the intersection of faith, ethics, culture and the human perspective. Lisa has also served as a consultant with local churches on engaging creativity in worship and worship spaces.

Todd Cullop, Pastor

Todd is husband to Jamie; and father to Ashley (b. 1995), Brady (2006), and Cash (2007). He is completing his MDiv at the John Leland Center for Theological Studies, where he plans to graduate in 2009. He also has a BA in English from George Mason University.

Todd was born in Nashville, TN, but grew up in Woodbridge, VA. After a tour in the Army and college, he spent ten years teaching high school English in Fort Worth, TX.

Todd has experience in many areas of ministry--including children, youth, college students, single adults, small groups, and church planting. Along the way he has worked as a book collector and seller, a pizza delivery guy, a high school baseball umpire, and a security guard.

Todd relaxes by playing with his kids, reading, writing, running, and biking.
